Porcelain Laminates
Porcelain laminates are almost paper-thin shells (crowns) placed on teeth after trimming the tooth very minimially. The biggest advantage of this treatment is the fact that it requires removal of only very thin layer of enamel. Porcelain laminates can make the great smiles possible in such short time.
Timeline
After initial oral exam, if needed, our dentist might apply tooth and gum restoration first. If there is no need to for any restoration, after needed trimming of the layer from teeth, impressions of teeth and gums are taken and the procedure starts.
On your second visit, the lab-prepared porcelain laminates are bonded to teeth with special strong glue. Contrary to popular belief, laminate covering will not come off easily, or biting and chewing will not be weakened.
After a week of use, you may even forget their existence on your teeth, and they will look natural and aesthetic.
