How do we do it?

At your first visit to the office, our dentist will asses the condition of your teeth for bite, grinding, alignment concerns, etc., and they may take (panoramic) X-rays of your teeth, they may measure them and take pictures as well.

The following visits (1-3) will involve application of braces. Afterwards, your braces are adjusted according to the plan every 4 to 8 weeks.

Duration of the Treatment

Before braces applied, all cavities are taken care of, any tartar and plaque are removed. Note that it may take a day or two before you get used to eating or speaking with newly tightened braces. Some light discomfort is normal. As your teeth are aligned and straigned better, the initial level of discomfort will get much lighter over time.

In order for brace wires from becoming dislodged from their places, you may want to avoid biting any kind of hard food. İf you experience soreness or discomfort on the sides of you cheeks or lips due to friction from braces, dentist-recommended waxes can alleviate your pain and disconcomfort.

If you experience disomfort longer that expected, our dentists may re-adjust the plan more suitable to your tempo or pace.
